Brett’s face lit up when he opened his blinds on Tuesday morning and he said “snow”. He sat and watched it fall for awhile and then it was out to play for hours. Of course, Shannon had to get it on it too and has been sore for days. Tackle football in the snow with Ashlee and Kayla is not as easy as it used to be. Kayla nailed him one time too many! As Brett watched them make snowballs and throw them at each other he began to imitate! He had his chance…he walked up to me taking pictures and nailed me right on the head! He laughed. How sweet to see him understand and enjoy play. We love to see him laugh and enjoy our time together…something we did not see a few years ago. Thank you for your prayers and thank you, Lord, for the privilege of raising a son with autism and the lesson learned of cherishing every moment and taking nothing for granted…not even a snowball to the head!

Just want both of you to know that we pray for you often and for a miracle in Brett’s life. So glad the new ministry is doing well.

Thanks Bobby and Kay!! Sorry we’re not real good bloggers…just saw the “reply” option to these comments….little late
sorry. Hope all is well with you and your family. I’m sure your boys are so big now…they grow up so quickly don’t they? Brett’s doing well. He’s able to do so much more now, go out to more places and participate in so many more things. We’re taking Ashlee to Charleston to college the end of this month and he will be going with us. It will be the first time we have gone out of town and stayed in a hotel with him in over 7 years. We’ve only been to grandparents house. So, please pray for this little mini family vacation and that he will do well. Also…that WE will do well leaving Ashlee.
